Sears Fake Free Deliverly Rebate

We purchased a Kenmore refrigerator on 11/18/2007.

The sales person told us that we could get rebate for deliverly fee of $65. He kindly showed us how to submit the rebate online, too.

However, the response from Sears rebate center was our purchase was not eligible because the payment plan we chose.

So I looked at the fine print of the receipt.

Okay, rebate offer cannot be combined with deffered interest. Our payment for the purchase should starts in May 2008. The sales person did not know or just did not tell us?

I kept searching their website looking for official description about Appliance Promiton on 11/18-22/2007. Funny thing, I found they have *no payments until January 2009*, not until May 2008.

So I wrote a letter to Rebate center and CEO about my experience and of course, no reply from them.

I am so confused about the rebate program and promotional offers they say.

What I know is that we are not going to buy anything from Sears again!

We had the same thing happen in Merced California when purchasing our washer and dryer in 11/09. I submitted my rebate online as instructed and never heard anything. I emailed customer service and months later, when they replied, was told my purchase was ineligible, when in fact it was over the $399 requirement. I emailed again many times and never got one response. I refuse to believe that this is how the CEO, Edward S. Lampert, wants to market Sears' good will to it's consumers.

I purchased a washer and dryer from Sears at Stoneridge mall in pleasanton, CA on 11/27/09. Sears rep told me delivery is free for all appliances over $399. My purchase was $1150. He said, pay $65 now, but then you'll get check back in rebate. He gave me the form to submit. After 5 months of waiting, sears rebate center is saying the products I bought did not qualify.

That means Sears sales rep lied to me, and probably hundreds of other people. This is fraud to collect delivery charges from everyone, and then turn around and blame the customer.

We experienced almost the same thing. We purchased both a washer and dryer. They promised us "free delivery" and a rebate. We did not get either. I do not thinks this is right for customers who buys your products at Sears.

They store was also involved because they had "signs" advertising alongside the appliances.
