WACHOVIA BANK IS AN UNETHICAL COMPANY-2008

An investigation needs to be done in regard to Wachovia Banks business practices and security policies or should I say lack of and then they need to be put out of business if you ask me. By reading others experiences on this and, other web sites I am not the only one who sees them as a good for nothing company. They have refused to return approximately $30,000.00 that was fraudulently taken from my handicapped, bedbound, and now deceased mother�s accounts with them. I have sent them proof of this, the names of some of the people who did it, which I had to investigate on my own while grieving the death of my mother since Wachovia was doing nothing about it., copies of the checks along with some of the peoples arrest records, which include FRAUD. I even have an eyewitness, a store owner who identified one of the people who fraudulently used my mothers debit card in her store several times. The person I was told who was in charge of the fraud department (Maralyn Khaleel) first refused to even speak with me when I initially called. I had to get a news group after them before she would even get on the phone with me. On about my thirtieth call to them one of Wachovia employees told me that this woman (Maralyn Khaleel) even accused me of being in with the people who stole this money from my mother. When I finally spoke to this Maralyn Khaleel, I asked her what Wachovia was going to do about this and the main question she asked me was �Well, that depends on how much money we are talking about here.� My first thought was why does that matter, there are numerous fraudulent transactions on my mothers accounts and they need to pay the money back. The amount should have nothing to do with them doing the right thing. Well, it did. They decided that keeping the money that was taken from my mothers accounts was more important then having a bad reputation. They sent me in circles for months then came back and told me they would not do anything about it. They would not return the money and they have not prosecuted the people who did this. Let us show them the power of the consumer and boycott Wachovia Bank until they pay this money back!

If you have an account with Wachovia or know anyone who does CLOSE IT A.S.A.P. or it could be your account missing $30,000.00 or more that Wachovia refused to return.

Your situation is way worse than mine and I am sorry this happened to you. I am also done with wachovia, they are a terrible banking facility. They like to charge overdraft fees when there is still money in your account and then not return it to you. I was charged 35.00 and my account after this still showed that I had money and then they nailed it 2 more times ...nice way to do business. If you are thinking of going with wachovia or are already there run as fast as you can and don't look back.

I too am boycotting Wachovia. They charged me an overdraft fee for a transaction that wasn't even posted to the account yet. Then, because of the overdraft fee, when the charge hit the account, they charged me another fee. So $70 total for 19 cents overage. Great.
