MDG Technical Support Mafia - Broken Promises

MDG Computers
CA

The technical reps at MDG are borderline mafia. Ready to cement your shoes and throw you in the river...

After two weeks of attempting to fix the computer myself (by MDG sending me links to get software I needed), I decided to send it back. I wasn't getting anywhere and I am fraustrated.

When I "again" explained the problem today (remember I've had this problem two weeks and just maybe they have a file of everything that went on), he didn't believe me that it was the desktop. Instead maybe it's the monitor. All because I said that it was a "black" screen. I guess I had to be more specific. It was actually black/grey because the monitor was on. He then wanted to know if I had the switch to the monitor turned on. Can you believe it? Two weeks of going back and forth for additional software, trouble shooting the new software, etc., etc., and this guy is now convinced that it is my monitor and that I may not have it turned on. How fraustrating is that?

Anyway, I wouldn't back down and told him that it was desktop. He then threatened me that if they found out it was my monitor when they got it to the shop, then they were going to charge me for shipping and $120 per hour for the work. He was actaully screaming at me. Man, someone should fire his ass. If I talked that way to my clients, I'd be out the door so fast, my head would spin.

Story doesn't end there. I was also promised the Vista OS as part of the package deal. Long story short...coupon expired...even though when they promised the Vista, there was mention of a "coupon". Response from MDG regarding my complaint -- contact Microsoft. What? Hello. Bill Gates are you listening?
