TXU ENERGY - Horrible Customer Service - Inaccurate Billing - Ruined Credit

If you are looking for an energy provider, do not go to TXU. If you do, trust me you'll regret it. In the long run,all these energy companies charging ridiculous amounts of money, so base your decision on quality of service.

I signed up for the E-Bill account with TXU and recurring payments. My worse fear became realized when the recurring payments system drafted over $400 out of my account when I moved. You see, I had payment $200 due Sept 12. Recurring took my payment. On Sept. 20, Recurring payment took yet another payment for $200+. I noticed the authorization, called TXU, and they had no knowledge of it. They told me to call my bank and work it out. I did. Never received an email, phone call, letter, anything suggesting that I owed anything else. TXU had my forwarding info. Fast forward to the present, I'm checking my credit report, and who do i see...TXU. I'm dumbfounded. There's a $67 charge off on my account. I called and e-mailed and was treating like some deadbeat off the street, not like the so called valued customer that I had been for several years. At one point the CSR was practically screaming at me and talking over me. What nerve. I asked why I did not recieve a final bill, and they claim the final bill was the unauthorized draft. To this day, they will not acknowledge that the system took money that I did not owe them out of my acct. They will not acknowledge that I called the CSRs who said he knew nothing of any draft. So, my credit which was excellent, now has a charge-off, even though, by there own admission, I never received a bill for $67. In fact, she said, because I am part of e-bill, they could not mail me another bill. It is impossible. Seriously? Guess what? I have the same email address so emailing an ebill was surely within their means. And since I had recurring payment, the ebill would have generated another draft (presumably for the correct amount) So Buyer Beware. Don't bother with TXU. But don't let just my story convince you. Do a search on the net for TXU complaints, and you will be amazed of what this company is capable of. Amazed.
