Centennial Wireless cusomer support is awful

Centennial Wireless Fort Wayne US My aunt died in November 2007. I was named excutor of her estate and advised Centennial by personally visiting the Fernhill location in Fort Wayne. I provided them with a copy of the Death Certificate and obtained a receipt that they had received it. I also advised that payment on the final bill could not be made until after Probate. In January I started to receive "dunning" phone calls from Centennial regarding the amount due. I received a total of 4 dunning calls. After this I called the collections department and advised of the situation again. I was assured that it was all taken care of. This week I received a letter threatening that the account would be turned over to Collections. I called them yet again and was told by a gentleman named Brent (he would not provide his first name) that the Fernhill location had lost or failed to process the paperwork. I was then asked to fax another copy of the death certificate and all my personal details as Executor again. This I did and also questioned the final amount due and was informed by Brent it was $162. When the Recovery department replied they stated the amount was $138. I called again and spoke to Brent and he finally said to go with the $138. So I had to void out the check I had just written and write a new one for the $138 I have just received Letters of Testamentary from the Probate court and opened up the required bank accounts. I sent one of the first checks to Centennial so that I could be free of their constant harassment and lack of elementary business courtesies. I heaved a big sigh of relief. Of all the creditors this was the only one that caused me so much grief. One day later I got a Fax from Centennial stating that the check was being returned as it was on a new Starter account. So now I have to void out another check and expend time to re write- re-mail etc. The check they refused was a legal check backed up by more than sufficient funds. Never will I ever deal with Centennial again. They have cost me well over 4 hours additional work in executing the estate and am back where I started. I have done everything possible to settle this account in the legal manner prescribed.
