AN EXAMPLE OF LYING "TRUTH" WHICH TOOK PLACE YEARS AGO IN

GRANITE CITY, OCCURRED NOT EXACTLY ON THE ABOVE DATE, BUT

I DON'T RECALL THE EXACT TIME; JUST THAT ROWENA ASHING DROVE

FOR THE RAINBOW TAXI CAB COMPANY IN GRANITE CITY AND SHE

HAD WORKED NIGHTS. SO ONE NIGHT, SHE HAD COME HOME TO

SLEEP AND HER LIVE IN BOYFRIEND AND HIS FRIEND WERE ALREADY

HOME. SHE WENT TO BED AND WHILE SHE SLEPT, HER BOYFRIEND

AND HIS ROOMMATE LEFT TO ROB A MAN AND COMMIT MURDER. THEY

CAME HOME AND THEN SUDDENLY, THERE WAS A KNOCK ON THE DOOR.

THE POLICE HAD COME TO TAKE EVERYONE TO JAIL, INCLUDING

ROWENA ASHING. SHE DID NOT KNOW THE CHARGE, NOT FOR

SEVERAL DAYS, WHEN HER ATTORNEY HAD INFORMED HER THAT SHE

WAS THERE FOR "MURDER". I AM INNOCENT, SHE EXCLAIMED.

WELL, IN THE MEANTIME, THE GRANITE CITY P.D. TOOK THE

TWO MEN ASIDE SEPARATELY AND OUT OF THE CONVERSATIONS,

CAME A CHARGE OF "MASTERMIND" FOR ROWENA AHSING ALONE.

WHEN SHE WENT INTO COURT IN MADISON COUNTY, SHE ONCE

AGAIN PROCLAIMED HER INNOCENCE, BUT NO ONE WOULD LISTEN

BECAUSE THE TWO MEN WERE TESTIFYING THAT SHE MASTERMINDED

THE WHOLE PLOT OF ROBBERY AND MURDER. SHE HAD RECEIVED

FORTY YEARS IN PRISON AND HER BOYFRIEND AND HIS FRIEND,

BOTH RECEIVED TWENTY-FIVE YEARS. SHE HAD BEEN INNOCENT

BUT THE WAY THAT IT WENT DOWN, SHOWED OTHERWISE, EVEN

THOUGH SHE HAD BEEN ASLEEP WHEN THE CRIME HAD BEEN

COMMITTED AND NO ONE WOULD BELIEVE HER WHEN SHE HAD

STATED THAT SHE HAD BEEN ASLEEP AND KNEW ABSOLUTELY

NOTHING ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING TO TAKE PLACE. SO MANY

INNOCENT PEOPLE GO TO PRISON FOR SET-UPS AND LYING

HAVING BEEN TOLD AS IN THE CASE OF ROWENA ASKING.

WHERE WAS THE JUSTICE FOR THE MAN PUT TO DEATH FOR

A CRIME THAT HE DID NOT COMMIT YET HE HAD BEEN SHOWN

TO BE GUILTY AND SENTENCED TO DEATH WHICH HAD BEEN

CARRIED OUT????

Sadly stuff like that happens all the time..though my case was not as serious..I was dragged into a sholifting spree involving my now ex Niece, my Nephew, My Nieces then boyfriend and their best friend (who btw was a minor at the time he got off clean only to be arrested after he turned 18 for the same crime) I sat in my Moms car while they allegedly went inside a Target store to buy garden supplies they came outside and told me they could not find what they needed..I later was told by the arresting officer they were being watched and knew it! Then they drove to yet another Target store and left for the same reason though they once again used the "can't find what we need" story..finally when we arrived at the 3rd and final Target store I told them I was not going to sit in that car all day while they screwed around in the store..this time they came running out of the store carrying stolen video games and dvd movies..as they jumped in the car I was shocked and as they attempted to outrun the Police I was screaming stop the car as loud as I could..we were finally forced off the road by the Police..and at first they told me I was not under arrest..of course that was a major lie..turns out the Target security guard accused me of being in on the thefts...when I pointed out to the arresting officer as well as my Lawyer had I been involved as the security guard and my ex Niece and her now ex bFriend had been claiming I would NOT have gone inside the last Target to use the bathroom and buy a pepsi which is exactly what I did!

The Guard was forced to retract his lie and the DA was forced to drop all shoplifting charges against me, however she made a deal with my ex Niece and her scummy ex Bfriend to pin the whole thing on me so they could cut a deal, my Nieces excuse when I confronted her about their lies was I have never been in any trouble, but her Bfriend had and would have ended up in prison and so would she.. my Nephew defended me by telling the truth, even though his Lawyer told him to also pin it on me so he could get away scot free my Nephew refused and told him "either you tell the truth or I find a honest lawyer"..all the DA ended up being able to get me for was being in the car..the arresting officer, and my Nephew helped me alot...also my ex Niece admitted the truth to my Lawyer who also acted as a witness for me especially since she and her scum sucking ex bfriend were telling the DA a pile of lies..I ended up out over $1000 in court fees..they could not get restitution out of me coz I did nothing wrong..but the DA was bound and determined to pin everything on me..she was even going to force me to stay under probation past my two year stint..btw I was only suppose to get one year unsupervised probation because all they could pin on me was a single charge..but the DA argued for two years supervised, he agreed, but made it supervised only until I paid off my court costs..I still owed about $175..I paid it off in one week..when I went back to court two years later to be removed from probation my Lawyer told me the DA had plans to ask the Judge to make me pay a fine of $1000..I spoke with a woman sitting next to me I told her my entire story and how the DA had a vendetta against me that the real thieves are still out robbing people mugging them and breaking into cars homes and hotel rooms and how the DA is having them pin their crimes on me even though there's no proof..she told me not to worry then she got up the next thing I know the DA is called out of the room and the woman I had been talking to took her place turned out Paula was an ass DA (I mispelled that on purpose) and that Woman was the main DA...she turned me loose my Lawyer was soo happy, but still upset by the way I was railroaded she refused to charge me for her services and even had my record cleared free of charge!! So yes I believe innocent people go to jail and yes I believe DAs can be dirty sometimes dirtier then the ones they convict..I was told Paula was fired for misconduct..Rarely do the guilty pay, the courts continued to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to my ex Nieces guilt..she continues to walk all over the justice system with a huge smile on her face! She's gone from shoplifing to credit card fraud, stealing then cashing checks, as well as committing tax fraud..she's been turned in repeatedly with full proof of her crimes provided, but nothing is ever done!! But you let her say something against someone else with no proof whatsoever and see how fast that innocent perosn goes to jail/prison..DAs should not be allowed to accept testimony from persons arrested for crimes unless they have more proof then just their word, after all if they would commit a crime like murder or theft or both what makes the DAs office think their word can be trusted?? Justice is blind I know but does it also have to be deaf, dumb, stupid and can't smell as well??
