AAFES Vendors Not reliable
|
Diamondback Eliptical AAFES US www.aafes.com I placed an order through AAFES online for an Eliptical Exercise Machine. The Diamondback. I waited. I waited some more. I called to check the delivery status since it was now 7 days after the "estimated delivery date" sent via email. I was told it was "in transit". I waited. I waited some more. I waited 7 more days. I called in and asked to speak to the person who handles that particular vendor (Diamondback). She said she would check on it. She called me back 4 days later and said that they had closed all orders with this particular vendor because of a worsening business relationship. The Eliptical Machine was on my Star/DPP card. I was charged finance charges for the three months it took to resolve this item. I was refunded the purchase price plus shipping, but not the finance charges ( as of yet), and I wasn't allowed to use my 10 percent coupon ( which was used to purchase JUST this machine) again. AAFES seems to do an okay job and offer a good selection of household items, but they were NOT proactive in notifying me of the reasons or time frame of delays. We are stationed remotly in the USA and order alot from AAFES.com, and we have problems with accuracy of delivery dates for every item. Sometimes by as much as 3 months. The wait is not always worth the savings. From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Friday, 29-Feb-08 12:39:27 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
