Kenmore Microwave

This is a copy of a letter I have sent to Sears:

I am writing this to complain about our Microwave we bought 1-11-08.

It is model 721.80032. Order # 19905267.

So far we have had to call service out 4 times. The first time the damn thing sparked and quit working. They had to replace the magnetron, capacitor, and a cover for inside the oven itself that broke off while they were fixing it.

This was only a couple weeks after buying it. We waited for one week to have the service tech come out to see what the problem was. Then we waited another week until the parts came in to have them replaced.

Now, last week the light bulb flashed and sparked and went out. So no underhood light. We called again and the tech came out to see what the problem was. Now, why on earth would a lightbulb blow after only one month of service, which we didn't use the whole month anyway. The tech said it was "normal". BS- we aren't that stupid we know it isn't normal for a bulb to blow after only a couple weeks. Anyway, now the bulb came via UPS, and my husband installed it, as told to by the tech. Well it doesn't work. So we have to have Sears come out again to see what this problem is. Another week of waiting.

I am just wanting to get this in writing that if there is something wrong in the wiring in the microwave, we will hold you responsible for any damage to our house.

We honestly think the darn thing should be replaced with a new one, as it seems we have bought a lemon.

The microwave is so loud we have to turn the TV way up to be able to hear. I have never had a louder microwave.

We are loyal to Sears products and thought we would change over all our GE applincaes that came with the house to Sears. But now we are wondering if we did the rright thing?

I have posted my opinion on your Sears.com for this model and will continue to post complaints about this model on other appliance forums I visit.
