FISHING FRAUD IN KEY WEST

Our fishing trip started out great except for being charged extra money for paying with a credit card. Which we were only told as we were paying, we had no choice since we did not bring any cash. The cost actually came to $100 more than we expected due to credit card fees, tipping, taxes and an increase in price when booking. Before we started out Steve told us what we could expect to catch and that the first mate would happily filet anything we caught. We ended up catching 2 large fish. Steve and the first mate told us they were kingfish and were no good to eat. They said they had a contract with the prison system and would sell them very cheaply to the prisons. We did have the first mate filet two of the small fish for us, mean while, Steve is saying "why do you want those, that fish is not good to eat" We later saw at the local fish market kingfish for sale. The girl behind the counter said it was very good and she was actually surprised that they still had some in stock. We feel that we were fauded by Steve out of our catch. If he had been honest with us about the taste of our fish we would have taken home our entire catch. I feel that they wanted us gone as soon as we arrived back at the dock so they could keep and sell our catch. We paid all the money and were "figuratively" kicked off the boat at the end and given the cold shoulder because they wanted to get the next group out. We would not recommend this charter boat to anyone. If you want to good experience, friendly crew and to keep your catch DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
