Eastbay.com bungled Christmas order
|
Sporting goods Eastbay.com US Eastbay.com We ordered an inflatable goalpost from Eastbay.com for my son for Christmas. We ordered a goalpost with a Texas Longhorns logo. Instead, we received one with a Texas A&M logo -- the archrival of the team we'd ordered! We sent the item back for exchange after Christmas. Weeks later, we received the wrong goalpost once again. We notified Eastbay and again sent the goalpost back for exchange. And, for the third time, received the incorrect goalpost. At last, two months after Christmas, Eastbay finally managed to read the logo on the item and send us the correct one. For all of our patience and persistence, we were given a whopping 15 percent off. Nice work, Eastbay. For this one measly $40 purchase, you've lost a customer for life. I might add that I'm exactly in the demographic you want: I buy online, and I buy a lot of sporting goods equipment and running shoes. Guess I'll have to buy them elsewhere. Your customer service really blew this one.
