Vacation Club Sales Bluegreen Resorts Bluegreen Resorts Wisconsin Dells Welcome Center 1171 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy Baraboo, Wi 53913 US bluegreenonline.com I called the Bluegreen Resort on January 10, 2008 explaining that we would not be able to arrive by 7 pm due to the necessary travel time need to drive to the Welcome Center WIsconsin Dells. I was told it would not be a problem. The person then offered to upgrade my package for an additional $50 per night to stay at Christmas Mountain. I declined. I was then directed to their site location with the "New" Concord Inn, Exit 89, Wisconsin Dells. We arrived at 9pm Friday evening January 11th 2008, however we did first stop at the Welcome Center to see that it was indeed closed for the evening and to get our bearing for the next day, we then drove to their selected overnight accommodations at the "New" Concord Inn. The vacation package reads as follows: "Bluegreen develops, markets, and sells the Bluegreen Vacation Club, a flexible points-based vacation ownership system with access to over 35 unique resorts, cruises, and other travel benefits. During the 2006, Bluegreen Resorts delivered over 176,000 unique experiences to over 169,000 owners. Everyone deserves a vacation. At least, that's how we feel about it at Bluegreen Resorts." We arrive at the "New" Concord Inn and were handed a "Key" to Room 210. This should have been our 1st warning. When, was the last time you checked into a hotel "new" or otherwise that still used a metal key on a large plastic keyring for room entrance? No restaurant on the premises. The beds were "crunchy", the pillows lacked any loft. My husband's feet hung over the bed. No inroom coffee maker. The 3-day and 2-night vacation package getaway started off this way, the next day we were to come for a 90 minute presentation on Bluegreen Resorts. We did not attend because their flyer also said "Your're Going to Like What You See! During your preview tour, you learn how to take advantage of first-class vacations year after year forever. We take al of the worry out of vacation planning, letting you focus on what's truly important: having fun!. Our preview started at the "New" Concord Inn. Having spent the night and all the "luxury" affored to us, the next morning I paid for our overnight accommodations set up by Bluegreen Resorts. Quite frankly, we were not in the mood to take any tour. I'd driven 319 miles for accommodations made by Bluegreen, plus dinner four. And then selected another location at Chula Vista Resort Wisconsin Dells, staying over night in a Condo, dinner, drinks again on us. Magnificent accommodations. My complaint: We received the following letter from Bluegreen Resorts On 01/11/2008 you have a confirmed reservation to stay at NEW CONCORD in connection with your Bluegreen Mini-vacation package. However, since you failed to show up on your confirmed reservation date, we have charged your credit card a no show fee of $75.00, and you have forfeited any prepaid fees or deposits in accordance with the Details of Participation of your mini-vacation package. Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc. By: Samantha Hillr Hotel Coordinator Telephone Number 608-253-8184 I wrote a Letter of Dispute to Ms. Hillr informing her that I'd not only drove to the WIsconsin Dells, to the Welcome Center and stayed overnight in their accommodations and I paid for our accommodations. I strongly suggest that she and her sales group and families experience a night for themselves to take in all of the ombience and luxury at their selected site. We were not impressed with their offer and opted not to take them up on Round II of their luxury offer to purchase a timeshare with Bluegreen Resorts. If they were looking to make an impression, and get me to part with more of my money they lost the opportunity on Friday evening. My letter to Ms. Hillr has been returned via the Post Office - "Return to Sender" postmarked Febrary 1, 2008 I then sent the above letter in an email February 5th 2008 to the Corporate Office at www.bluegreeonline.com and after sending I received the following message: Your message has been sent! We will respond to your message in approximately one to three business days. For immediate assistance, please call 800.456.CLUB(2582) It has been 22 days without response. I called the 800 number provided and it is a recorded message, none of the push button options are appropriate to assist with this. I am asking that the $75.00 be refunded. And in the spirit of Corporate messes, I would also request that they refund my Accommodations at Chula Vista one night $309.00.
