complaint about expedia ------_=_NextPart_002_01C87895.561AE685 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable We are traveling on March 2nd and cannot change a hotel with you, we were not satisfied with what we saw on line and wanted to switch a hotel a week in advance.Constantly on the phone AND on hold there service dept is rude,inexperienced, rip-off, and asking for managers on hold for hours and hours, almost a whole day, with no avail. My reservation, I didnt do on line, I called the 800 number and a barely english speaking person was helping me, so I could not understand her well, was frustrated and wanted her off the phone, but we quickly wanted to book my daughter a reservation, she did it all, NOT US!!!, In the begining Rules and regulations Expedia, which we thought says You may cancel your hotel without affecting your other travel item(s) will not HONOR this statement, they are telling me the hotel wont change. Well with a weeks notice, they should at the busy season. I deal with travel on a daily business and cant believe they wont. after speaking to 10 Expedia personal, totally frustrated and only getting one english speaking person (which confused the matter even more) we are ni the united states arent we? I called the hotel direct, spoke an hour with the manager, he told me sorry, DONT deal with Expedia, and gave me promises we wont be disappointed, he gave us a very affordable deal for a suite AND says Expedia will rip you off on all their fees, they charge more than any hotel. Expedia the company is too big to research and to big for thier britches. Call the individual Hotel for deals, rates or their individual websites they are cheaper and book the airlines direct, they have the deals on line also, People dont know this and I thought a package would be cheaper, never again. This was my first and last time using Expedia, the old fashioned travel agencies still give hometown service and I will still use them. We thought we would try and were mistakened.. America does not need Expedia, I will never use again on my corporate job and will let everyone know... your service and fees our outragious for this competitive industry. Robin J.
