MetLife won't pay
|
Life Insurance MetLife , Ne US My 21 year old son suffocated during a seizure on 11-8-2007. He was 21 years old very active and healthy. He had only had a few seizures and only then while sleeping. The only thing to do was help to make sure he didn't hurt himself until the seizure has passed. This time no one was there and he got stuck half on and half off the bed , face down and suffocated. I found him and gave cpr till help came but it was too late. The death certificate stated accidental due to suffocation but MetLife refused to pay the claim saying it was natural. I have paid for insurance for 26 years with the same company and the first time we need it this happens. I am really dissappointed with Metlife and want others living with epilepsy to be aware of this companies policy. thankyou, Greg Moore From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Saturday, 23-Feb-08 17:12:01 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On Thisadamapison, TN 37302 This is terrible. We need enforcement this for big companies that rip off people. They know if you need the insurance money you can't afford to hire a lawyer to fight them.
