Lowe's Credit Slow to Issue Refund Check

Overpayment of Credit Lowe's Home Imporovement Mooresville, No US www.lowes.com Issued an electronic payment via the Checkfree service for $150.00 to Lowes Credit on 1/13/08. Noticed a large credit on our Lowe's account and saw a payment in the amount of $15,500.00. Contacted Checkfree which said that it was our fault but even if it had been a data entry error it would have only been 15,000 not 15,500. Contact Lowes Credit immediately to the overpayment, was notified that a 'paper' check would be issued upon verification in 20 business days. Day 24 no check, contacted Lowe's Credit, Michael said check mailed on 2/15/08 with no tracking, no check number, no location id and had 7-10 business days to receive at our home. Lowe's should have issued an electronic payment to a local store upon verification within 7 days to cut a check. Feel they now owe us $158.25 in interest based on a 21.9% APR they charge their customers to borrow money. This has held up a major home renovation of which the money was to have been spent at Lowe's via our contractor. Now my loyalty isn't that solid.
