We needed an alarm system in order to recieve an insurance discount. We contacted Protect America. We informed them we used a digital phone service and were told it was fine. They sent out the wireless security system which, I installed while on the phone with their tech.By the end of the 2 hour session, I was told I could either have the alarm system working or a phone system but not both.

I opted for a phone service for obvious reasons ( a wife and 2 kids). The next month a payment was puled out of my account. I called Protect America again. While on the phone with one of three Techs, for @ 3 Hours, we tried again to install the system. Again, all three said it would not work with my system. They sent a new modem to try!

OK! New Modem, Two more hours on the phone with Techs and Tech Manager, all say will not work. Tech Manager says too bad! I have contract and must pay no matter what! I was also informed :

1. They don't actually monitor system. They react only when the get an alarm call.

2. The system might work if I install a Hard line. But, if the wire is cut, no signal would be sent and they can't monitor that.


Thad Pascall, President or CEO (whatever he thinks he is ) Does not answer or "Deal" with customers.

Hooray !!!!!

After about Three months Protect America Finally Canceled my contract.

In order to achieve this, I:

1) wrote to the florida Attorney General.( Consumer Affairs)

2) Wrote to the Attorney General of Texas office. (Consumer Affairs)

3) Wrote to the Federal Trade Commission in Washington

4) Closed my credit card account

5) Had to dispute monthly charges against my account by Protect America for three months.


But, today recieved a letter that my contract would be canceled upon return of their equipment.Its on the way !!!!

Persistence Pays off!
