Several weeks ago my wife placed an order with SmartBargains.com and never received a confirmation. We contacted them and they stated that there was no order on file, but that we should continue to check back. On December 31, 2007 we were told again there was no order, but to check back after New Years on January 2, 2008. We did and were told there was no order. We then told them that IF an order every showed up to cancel it as we had had enough. The next day, January 3, 2008 we received an emailed invoice for $285.93 for an order that according to them the day before did not exist. When we called, they had no record of an order, however, on January 4, we received a bill via the U.S. postal service from "Bill Me Later" for $312.88 this order. We called them and placed the charge in dispute as we had not received anything and explained that SmartBargains.com continued to tell us they had no order from us. "Bill Me Later" showed that SmartBargains had charged them on December 31, 2007 (again a day that SmartBargains.com was telling us there was no order). Several weeks later, we received the product. However, SmartBargains.com will not correct the error in their bill to "Bill Me Later" and "Bill Me Later" will not correct SmartBargains.com error even though we have sent them a copy of our invoice from SmartBargains.com. In my opinion, those who companies must work together to victimize consumers. SmartBargains.com Customer Service Supervisor Amber ID #16017 has told me I have to the talk the Corporate Office Customer Service Manager of SmartBargains.com at 617-695-7300. I have called long distance to that number six times and left messages, but to date, they are not returning the call. They obviously know they are crooks and scam artists.

No further info, years later? Surely there is SOME resolution to this...
