Horrible Customer Service

NO Customer Service AT&T Store in Santa Barbara AT&T Mobility Glenridge Highlands Two 5565 Glenridge Connector Atlanta, GA 30342 US I am writing to complain about the lack of customer service at your store in Santa Barbara located at 3889 La Cumbre Plaza Ln. Tonight I attempted to return a headset I purchased on 2/10/08 and left the store when a woman claimed that she didnât need to take my attitude. When I entered the store on 2/10/08 I wrote my name on the âSign in Hereâ list at the front of the store. There were several clerks who were not helping anyone. I searched around for 10 minutes, found what appeared to be the correct headset and then attempted to find a clerk to help me. During this time, none of the clerks, a couple of whom were standing around talking to each other called my name or any other. I finally got someone to ring up my purchase. Tonight when I re-entered the store I looked at the list and saw that every name had been crossed off and there were three clerks standing at terminal/registers, with no one in front of them. One of them was talking on his cell phone. I did not write my name on the sheet as there was clearly no one waitingâ¦and the list wasnât being used the last time I was there. I stood near the counter in hopes someone would offer help. Sean, Klein and the other guy on the phone saw me thereâ¦and looked away. I waited and finally asked âIs there a manager here?â Sean went in back for a moment, while Klein explained that he was closing out his drawer or he would help me. Sean returned and said that the manager was gone. He asked why I needed him. I said, âBecause I needed someone to help me.â He then said âWell, did you sign in?â I said, âNo, because the list wasnât being used last time I was here. Did any of you go check the list to see if someone was waiting?â He told me âI think youâre being rudeâ âI donât really care what you think. Just ring up the return.â About then a woman emerged and was standing at the counter across the way. Sean walked away from the register, rather than process the transaction, to complain to her that he thought I was being rude. (Iâd say he should do a better job whisperingâ¦but heyâ¦itâs your business, not mine.) She then told me that if I was being rude she had the right to refuse to help me and ask me to leave. (Nice technique to prevent returns, perhaps?) I told her that I would be happy to leave and write this letterâ¦and I guess Iâll find another store to take this return. I can assure you that I have made my last trip to your store on La Cumbre. (Unless, of course, one of your other stores refuses to process this return from this store.) I must admitâ¦having had SEVERAL bad experiences at this store, having heard from family about problems there and the warning from my co-worker that âYouâre better going to the little one by Costco [in Goleta]â¦they are terrible there,â I probably wasnât as open-minded about the attitude and lack of customer service from Sean and the assistant manager. But heyâ¦youâre AT&Tâ¦and it was made clear by the assistant manager that you donât believe in providing good customer service or even helping your customers.
