MS075 Adam and Eve Mosaic Mozaico 185 SW 7th St Suite# 1905 Miami, FL 33130 US http://www.mozaico.net or Phoenicianarts.com I purchased a large Adam and Eve mosaic piece for my main floor from Sam Klaimi at Mozaico.net also known as Phoenicianarts.com in Oct 2008. Sam told me it would take 10 days to make. After 10 days, Sam sent me a picture in which I requested changes. It took another two weeks to fix. Sam sent me another picture and I said the sky is still grey and not at all blue as discussed or guaranteed. Sam said the picture is muted but it's fixed and the sky is blue. The mosaic finally arrived from Lebanon last week with grey color sky and it has so many different tile heights that it's now costing me $700.00 to have it sand down before it can be put on the floor. I have tried to contact Sam at Mozaico.net(Phoenicianarts.com) and no one will rectify the issues. He is saying the claim department will call me to but no one ever call me back. The mosaic piece is 51" X 70" and cost over 1K. It's costing me so much to hold off construction waiting for the mosaic and now I have to fix it before my guys can even install it. They show lack of ethics, no pride in theirs works and poor services after taking your money. The cost on the website is $1,182.80. I paid $1,150.00 and shipping is included. Sam Klaimi guaranteed me via email and phone calls that the sky on the mosaic is blue and this is not what was delivered to me. Worse of all, however, is the different tile heights on this mosaic. This was to be made to go onto my main floor and my expectation is that this piece will be relatively even to be walked upon. There are about 10 different height sizes on this mosaic (mostly on Eve's side of the picture). The contractor and the tile guys were appalled at this mosaic piece when it finally arrived. They will not have anything to do this mosaic unless I have it leveled out before installation and grout can be put on it. I am now being charged for more delay on tile installation and they are not even sure if they want to be responsible for even/leveled it out because they may damage it. They have never seen such a BIG differential in height sizes on a mosaic before - especially when it is made for a floor. Thank you. Sam Klaimi Phoenician Arts Makers of fine mosaic www.PhoenicianArts.com 185 SW 7th St Suite# 1905 Miami, FL. 33130 305-305-0121 ----------- Based on this email you sent on 11/18/08. It is blue and now you are claiming it cost more if you would of made the sky BLUE??? Why did you NOT tell me this before when I was purchasing it, when you were fixing and before you sent it - to give me the option paying for it? Why have you not call me to resolved but so quickly to post incorrect statement like the COLOR BLUE cost 1000.00 on a website? When did blue cost more than green or red or any other color of the rainbow? Blue is the most expensive stone and to use blue it would cost $1000 just in raw materials. You paid $1050 for a 51"x70" mosaic and that included shipping from Lebanon ( shipping alone is $350) and that was on the basis to get what was in stock. However we did do you a favour by customizing your mosaic and doing a new one. I am sorry but you are asking too many things and not willing to pay. Honestly we have the best quality mosaics and sell to high end retailers and architects.
