Target doesn't know what customer service is!

I purchased two $7.50 DVD's to give to my daughter for Christmas. Although the the receipt expired at the end of November, I thought that Target would at least allow me to exchange the item, as I explained the day after Christmas that it was purchased as a Christmas gift--They would not. A little flexibility with return times around Christmas would be a nice courtesy to extend to customers who shop a little early for Christmas. I still had the receipt to at least prove I purchased them and the movies were not opened. Target would not help me and sent me the usual canned response. That is not customer service. Helping a customer resolve a reasonable request is customer service. We all understand that there are people out there out to cheat and steal. I was only asking for an even exhange of item still currently in stock. The result is that Target has lost a loyal, twice a week customer. Their loss and Walmart's gain.

I purchased a Selena cd, it wouldn't play, it skipped and in some places stalled..I returned the same day I bought it, picked out another copy of the same cd, another cd I did not see the day before..walked up to the customer service desk, explained about the messed up cd and asked for a exchange...she removed it from the bag with the receipt, said "you opened it" I said yes, that's how I know it doesn't work...she shook her head and said I could not get a refund, I told her I wanted an exchange, I then pushed the other copy toward her she shook her head and said "we don't sell that cd here" I snapped are you daft I have the receipt and another copy of the cd you don't sell here I just want an exchange..she pushed everything toward me except for the second copy and said "no, you opened it" I moved down three registers snapped "give me my money back" the cashier must have seen the fire behind my eyes, coz he gave me my refund with no comments and no questions asked...I handed him the other cd I planned on buying and told him to shove that cd up her ass and I said it loud...I left went to Walmart and bought both cds for $10 less then I would have paid at Target...moral of story, Target can shove their cds up their ass! I also bought my Nephew a pair of shoes at K-Mart..he ended up with two left shoes, I returned the same day with my receipt told the cashier what happened, she looked at the shoes, the box they came in and the receipt then told me they don't sell that shoe...I walked to the back picked out a right shoe switched out the two shoes, she snatched them up shoved them in a bag handed me my money back and my receipt..since her register was the only one open at the time, I thought she was making me rebuy them..when I handed her the shoes to scan she snapped "you have the shoes and your money..you can leave now...I do have other customers" I hissed Oh, I will leave and I wont be back" I have never gone back in that store and they are now closed due to poor sales..more like poor employee conduct...well, my Nephew got his new shoes and we bought take out with the money she gave back to us...not only a bitch, but a stupid bitch!!

You had more than enough time to return the DVDs... 90 days!! You should have considered this when you bought them.
