Has anyone been charged with a membership automatic fee withdrawal from their banks by classmates.com? I signed up for the $20.00 life time membership at classmates.com for $20.00. Life time was not life time. They have now charged me for a gold membership at $39.00 a year. I have asked them to cancel the same day they stole my money and to refund my $39.00 so far they have refused. They say it is non refundable. I intend to fight it. BEWARE I have canceled my membership. They refused to let me do that say it is good till Dec. 2009.HELP

They are ripping people off.

Purchased a Classmates.com one year membership when it was on special for $9.99 about a year ago-- I just found a $39 charge on my Visa Card (with no prior notification of an upcoming renewal)--To cancel the unwanted renewal I sent two e-mails to them but responses from them told me there were no refunds and that when I purchased the one year membership, I had agreed to "automatic renewal"--and that I should "enjoy" my one year renewal and change my renewal option to manual. I never knew at the original signup that I had agreed to any form of "automatic renewal". I have since discovered many forums on the internet about this same tactic and am now working with my credit card company to reverse the charge for the unrequested and with no

advance notice renewal that they force on people. Would love to find out if others have fought this company for using the same tactic and what results were obtained.
