Unfair Bank Practices

PNC Bank Absecon, NJ Absecon, NJ 08201 US pncbank.com I had a company online fraudulently withdrawl money from my account unknowingly. I notified the BBB and such and complained. The company refunded the money and PNC bank had massive charges of NSFs on my account totalling hundreds of dollars. They told me they could only refund one 36 dollar charge and not the other money since it was not their policy..that is like being stolen from twice over. I want all the charges back from the bank since i won the money back with a dispute and a claim in with the BBB. The company who started this mess said the bank must give me back the charges..The bank says I should go after the company for the fees incurred. The company who took the money from my account in the first place apologized and refunded me the full 279.80, and the bank still won't refund me all of the bank fees! The bank of PNC claims they cannot help me. Honestly you should be thankful that PNC bank refunded you one of the $36.00 fees because they didnt owe you that. Ultimately the company that caused your account to go overdrawn should be responsible for refunding you all of the "MASSIVE" NSF fees that hit your account as a result of the disputed transaction. I have a few suggestions for you, first of all you need to be more careful with you sensitive checking account information. Secondly, the next time you place a dispute with the BBB make sure you include not only the transaction amount that was taken from you account, but all of the fees that was applied to your account as a result of the disputed item. Lastly, understand that if you arent a responsible consumer that isnt PNC bank's job to absorb the cost simple because "the company who started the mess" told you that PNC bank must give you back the charges. Think about it!!!! From: Message Author (click here to email author) (has asked not to receive email)Date: Wednesday, 07-Jan-09 22:55:31 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
