Bank of America CC rate
|
Bank of America US My wife has been a BofA cardholder for 8 years, and we have never missed a payment. Today I asked her to call BofA to request a drop in the interest rate of 18.9%. BofA is on record of having no floor rate limit, we we wanted to get a little easing of the payment since we have been such good customers. Upon asking for a rate decrease, she was told that the customer service rep could do nothing, so she asked to be escalated to a manager since the rate was so high. Instead of going to a manager, she was transferred to Debt Counceling who told her that they were suspending the card immediately. Apparently, BofA would rather see us go away than keep us as a paying customer. We had no interest in defaulting on the card, but now we may consider telling them to go pound sand on the balance (~$20K).
