Scam Web Site - yukonalaska.com - Be careful !!

This is a real bad example of an wise guy and well known crook who is being active on multiple online travel forums and travel blogs. He pretends to be an insider and registered tour guide within Canadas Yukon Territory and Alaska just to lure unsuspecting potential customers searching for travel information to his own 40+ web sites or better - advertising and URL linking graveyards - to sell his overpriced tour packages or to benefit from commissions for references to other external linked travel web sites. According to recent information from TIA = Yukon/Alaska Tourism Industry Association Murray Lundberg is neither a registered tour operator or licensed tour guide. He does not even have a valid local business license. Moreover his business activities hurts the entire local tourism industry significantly. His fraudulent scheme is always the same: he provides first some more or less useless and questionable general information and soon thereafter he is posting URLs to his own web sites without disclosing the fact that he controls these pages.

To our knowledge Lundberg is a well known con artist in Canada and the United States. His published vitas on various travel forums or blogs are faked, fantasies and used on demand or as deemed necessary to provide a solid background information. After completing an extensive investigation we found out that Lundberg possibly worked as tele marketer in the huge 1993 Canadian Gemstone Scam, as a possible sender of chain letters for non authorized government land sales within the Yukon Territory and as paid blackmail campaign leader targeting tour companies to promote his own questionable activities. Murray Lundberg operates and identifies himself currently as master tour guide with over 16-years of tourism industry experience together with his partner Mrs.Cathy Small on http://www.explorenorth.com and http://www.explorenorthtours.com as well as on http://www.yukonalaska.com without any appropriate and necessary government tour operater and/or guiding licenses for his company "Explore North Tours". According to local tourism resources - Lundberg has no history whatsoever as driver guide or tour guide !

At another company profile "Pathfinder Publication" Lundberg identifies himself as editor and well known travel article writer/publisher. in this case Lundberg is using the current registered trade name of Pathfinder Publications LTD in Centennial, Colorado without their authorization. Pathfinder Publication is also a non registered company and does not have a valid Yukon business license.

Lundbergs kind of impertinence is hard to beat but it may fit perfectly into the overall picture of his countless web scam attempts.

To make a long story short: we lost a significant amount of money (more than CAD$3900.00) when we booked tours on his web site.

A last update to his advertised web hosting services: with the exception of his own scamming tour pages Lundberg and Small are providing only back and/or reference links to more than 41 other sites and domains controlled, owned or managed through the mastermind Murray Lundberg. These are definitely not individual pages of customers using his advertised administering web design or hosting services. As a matter of fact Lundberg does not even host any external web sites at all. Most ads on his pages are pasted/copied logos from tourism services who are not even knowing they are on his page. The remaining balance are paid ads from Google.

Its all part of his scam scheme because the hosting company listed for all of his countless domains is the http://www.west-datacenter.net an anonymus and whois privacy protected company in Bellevue, Washington. After checking other resources I found out that this company purchased its online hosting services through a 3rd party http://www.westhost.com located in Providence, Utah. Westhost INC again provided a dedicated IP address to West-Datacenter.Net a through Enom registered domain used only as a private name server for Lundbergs own domain hosting purposes

The hosting company http://www.west-datacenter.net has of course no official website, its DNS are blacklisted for spam and junk bulk email abuse at FTC/IFCC and last but not least the company hosted a lot of fraudulent companies who sold counterfeit products to innocent people, cheated Western Union, provided questionable Australian Job Offers to students and published offending child pornography sites. So I hope everyone gets the big picture about Lundsbergs possible business activities now in connection with this hosting company!

Well - nice try ! It seems like you embarrassed and blackmailed a lot of people not only from your area. I am the "anonymous" poster and I am definitely a previous client of yours from New York City who got ripped of trough you and your various businesses and activities. Your online records and the feedback of your companies are horrible. Simply conduct a www. search on Google and you and other consumers will know soon whats going on. The "anonymous" poster is a person who I have publicly embarrassed in our home town. Almost everything he has posted is nonsense. He has never done business of any kind with me, and I am very easy to find as I only live a few miles from him. His post sounds like the ravings of a lunatic, so I'm not really sure why I'm bothering to respond. My record online over the past 11 years is easy to discover, so he will remain "a voice in the wilderness" talking to himself.
