BOUGHT A KENMORE LOW PROFILE WINDOW A/C UNIT FROM THE SEARS AT SOLOMON POND MALL, IN MARLBORO MASS. WHEN IT STARTED MAKING NOISES FROM THE MOTOR, I CALLED SEARS TO SCHEDULE A REPAIR PERSON TO COME OUT. AFTER THEY CANCELLED ON ME TWICE AT THE LAST MINUTE, I FINALLY GOT ONE TO COME OUT TO FIX THE UNIT. HE SAID IT WAS BAD AND THAT SEARS SHOULD REPLACE IT. KEEP IN MIND HE IS SUB CONTRACTED BY SEARS. WELL IT TOOK ALMOST A YEAR OF MORE COMPLAINING BUT SEARS FINALLY REPLACED IT. THEN..THE REPLACED UNIT WAS ACTING FUNNY AS WELL AND NOT REALLY COOLING THE ROOM ENOUGH. WHEN I CALLED THE SEARS IN MARLBORO I WAS DIRECTED TO SPEAK TO THE SMALL APPLIANCE MANAGER.WHILE THEY THOUGHT I WAS ON "HOLD" I HEARD THE YOUNG ASSOCIATE SAY, "THERE IS ANOTHER COMPAINT ABOUT THOSE KENMORE AIR CONDIONERS, THE DEFECTIVE ONES".THIS WOMAN GETS ON THE PHONE WITH ME AND HAS A BAD TONE TO HER VOICE. I SAID WHAT'S THIS I JUST HEARD THAT THESE UNITS ARE DEFECTIVE? I WANT MY MONEY BACK IMMEDIATLEY...ETC ETC..SHE FLIPPED ON ME SAID HE NEVER SAID THAT AND HUNG UP ON ME. AND I WASN'T EVEN SWEARING OR BEING RUDE. I CALLED BACK AND SHE ANSWERED THE PHONE HERSELF AND SAID "THIS IS THE MARLBORO POLICE". I SAID WHAT? I KNOW IT'S YOU MA'AM. SHE SAID IF I KEEP CALLING SHE 'WILL' CALL THE POLICE. I THINK SHE LOST HER MARBLES THAT DAY AND I WILL NEVER, EVER, MARK MY WORDS BUY ONE MORE THING AT ANY SEARS EVER AGAIN! THESE PEOPLE ARE TRUE SCAM ARTISTS AND I HOPE SEARS GOES BELLY UP!OH YEAH THE MANAGER OF THE STORE, Ed Pagliuca PROMISED ME A NEW ONE AND THAT WAS WHAT 5 YEARS AGO?, WHEN I CALLED AGAIN AND GOT HIM ON THE PHONE HE SAID I ALREADY GOT A NEW ON EPLUS OVER $200 GIFT CARD. I SAID I NEVER GOT ANY OF THAT. HE SAID HE SEE'S IN THE COPMPUTER THAT I TOOK DELIVERY OF ANOTHER UNIT AND GIFT CARD. I TOLD HIM TO TRACK DOWN THE CARD AND UNIT AS I THINK HE SENT IT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HIM AGAIN! SCREW SEARS. PLEASE DON'T SHOP THERE FOR A BIG PURCHASE! YOU WILL BE SORRY! IT'S NOT YOUR PARENTS/GRANDPARENTS SEARS ANYMORE! CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL OVER IS HORRIBLE NOW, ESPECIALLY AT SEARS!!
