AT&T Wireless Incompetence

AT&T Wireless AT&T US After trying AT&T wireless service in September of 08 and not experiencing good reception, I cancelled the account well within the 30 day trial period. The representative at the AT&T store assured me the account was closed and that I was clear of any balance since I had cancelled within the allotted time. So imagine my surprise when I get a call 2 days ago from Allied Interstate Collections (another charming company btw) saying I owe $330.00 in back payments and cancellation fees!! After tracking down the right person to talk to I finally got the charges removed with no explanation to what happened. Now I have to wrestle with Allied Interstate to get the blemish off my credit report. I guess I'll have to that in between calling to get these erroneous charges off my gas bill! Jeez!!!
