Selling Practice

This is an internet business which sales electronics. Claiming having products available at a low price and ready to ship in 1 to 3 days, with confirmation on sale transaction and shipping through E-mail. Only to be followed by an Email requesting you to call then prior to shipping. You most call before they will ship. The high pressure salesperson then informs you that the product is missing parts that you must buy. If you say no just ship what you purchase then they want you to cancel the order. If you insist, they keep tell you that you must buy. In the end they tell you they will ship only you receive an E-mail that the product is back ordered, 6 to 8 weeks, and here is the cancel button. My item was a camera which they insisted I must buy a battery from them. Being a smart shopper I know rechargeable batteries and charger come with the camera from the manufacture. They told me the package is factory sealed, new. So unless they open the packaging and remove the batteries and charger the camera has the battery and charger. This is just a scheme to get more for the camera. I don't know if this a legal selling practice. As a consumer it is like a bait and switch.
