iolo's System Mechanic 8 iolo Technologies, LLC 7470 North Figueroa Street Los Angeles, CA 90041 US www.iolo.com contacted the company in mid september on 2008 to let them know that their program is no longer running properly. I have send many emails and called numerous times and all i get is a we will call you back later, good buy and they hang up the phone. I have contacted the company over two and a half months for support on System Mechanic 8 and have received nothing but will call you back's. Then I decided to backup my Vista Ultimate machine and System Mechanic 8 had shut off my Backup which is one of the main reasons I bought Ultimate,... instead I was told to buy their recommended program until they could fix the issue, OVER A YEAR AGO, so I have solved the problem. Symantec's Norton System Works comes with Ghost and handles everything this software screws up. Symantec also fully recognizes AVG so there are no issues there. I will use AVG until my membership runs out then it will all be Symantec. The endless get another year of service for $14.95 emails got on my nerves too. I ended those, uninstalled System Mechanic 8 and have moved on since. My advice, find a program that works for you, just stay away from iolo System Mechanic. They responded to my first contact, but when I asked for a refund, correspondence stopped. I am still attempting to contact them...
