Direc TV, Inc. will be the next one asking for a bailout

Direc TV Tim Locke Wrightwood, CA 92397 US On Tuesday the 16th of December, our satellite TV went out. We called technical support at Direc TV and they said it would be a $50 charge to come fix the problem. The problem most likely is that the dish is installed on the north side of our house below the roof line. With 36 inches of new snow on the roof, the signal is being blocked. Our neighbour's dish is installed on the south side of his house and he has no problem. So even though they installed it incorrectly, they want to charge us to come fix it, if they would ever come out. They scheduled for Friday and then called to say they couldn't make it because of road conditions. The roads have been clear for 3-4 days now. As of the 21rst of December, service is still out. We want out of our contract but they will penalize us. So we are stuck. Please don't get stuck in a contract with Direc TV, you will have no recourse.
