Guildcraft of California Furniture falls apart

I bought a Guildcraft couch and ottoman and they are of really poor quality. The couch came with throw pillows with tassels and they came apart weeks after I bought it. I am on the third set of pillows (they did send replacements) and they are still coming either apart or completely off the pillow. The upholstery on the ottoman has worn very quickly and the trim on it has had to be repaired as well.

I bought a Guildcraft sectional and it just arrived and has a strange odor. Just wondering if anyone knows if this furniture is actually manufactured here in the US or China? I heard in China they put formaldehyde in the foam. The smell reeks when we close the window.
