US I made the HUGE mistake of changing phone and internet providers this summer, through the lure of faster internet speed and lower rates by CAVALIER PHONE CO. previously TALK AMERICA. I should have done more research. I would have found the endless complaints, and lawsuits detailed on the internet before now. The results of my poor decision are as follows: The services promised were never provided. I very nearly lost my original phone numbers. I was without internet and fax service for a month. I had to pay reinstatement fees for returning to AT&T. I have spent countless hours trying to get satisfaction on the phone, and by certified mail. As of today I am still being billed for service that I never received, and canceled. And as bonus I am accumulating late fees, and finance charges, with collection threats. This is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. The sales staff does not know (or care) about service availability. The endless wait for service reps on the phone is only made worse by the fact that there is no tracking, so when you call back no one has a clue, and you start all over again. Promises made by service reps are not honored. There is no way this company should be allowed to continue. I have registered my complaint with my state government. My only goal is to spread the alarm. TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO STAY AWAY FROM CAVALIER PHONE CO.
