POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

GARDNER WHITE FURNITURE GARDNER WHITE FURNITURE WESTLAND, MI 48187 US We purchased a living room furniture set in March 2006, promised that there was a full warranty on the cushions for any problems (ie.) flattened cushions, lumpy etc. Upon inquiring how to replace them, we were told we HAVE to have a service technician come to the house for a $50 charge to inspect them first, if they were considered defective they would be replaced by the technician after ordering the new cushion.Oh by the way, if we want the technician to put the new core in, it would be another $50.Because the economy is so bad. So we called another Gardner White, received totally different info which matches the terms outlined when we made the purchase. When my husband called the store manager to inform her of this discrepency, she assured him what she told him was Gardner White's policy ACROSS THE BOARD.The mangement @ the Westland Gardner White store NEEDS to take some serious lessons in customer service instead of trying to make a few bucks screwing customers. Our advice-STAY AWAY FROM THE WESTLAND GARDNER WHITE UNLESS YOU LIKE TO GIVE YOUR MONEY AWAY & ENJOY BEING LIED TO.
