Time in Blue Swatch Watch store Grand Cental Station Grand Central Station 56 Grand Central Station, space #MC-28 New York NY 10017 New York City, Ne 10017 US I recently purchased a Swatch Watch at the Grand Central Station Swatch Watch New York City store, as a gift for my sister. They showed me the watch in the store - it looked fine to me and they put it in its plastic casing and bag. I took it home wrapped it and gave it to my sister on Sunday, June 8, 2008. She opened it up put it on and noticed what seemed to be a scratch on the clear cover on the watch. I told her no problem I'll take it back & get another one. I went back to the Grand Central Station Swatch Watch store, spoke to a Raul H. told him there was a scratch on the corner of the watch, he attempted to buff out the scratch but then told me, wait a second its not a scratch its a crack and our watches do not come cracked, insinuating that I cracked the watch. I calmly tell him I haven't touched the watch since I looked at it on Friday. But he still turned to me and said, our watches never come in cracked. He then turns to his manager and states, this guy wants to exchange his watch for another one because he says he received this watch cracked but there is no way he bought this watch from us like that. She tells him exchange it, which begrudgingly he did. I sign my name on the new paper work but as I am leaving he starts again to tell his manager that they should not have exchanged the watch he obviously cracked it. I stopped and was going to walk back to confront Raul but I stopped myself. This was not worth the aggravation & frustration for a watch that cost me $55. Now I tell you all this because I feel customer service is very important and it wasn't like I spent $5000 on a watch and was trying to scam them it is a $55 watch that was cracked I did not see the crack and maybe I should have caught it the day I bought it. But to me Raul has a very bad attitude to be working in a small store that requires him to interact with customers on a daily basis. I know I won't be going back any Swatch Watch store in the near future for any watch. I can not deal with people who have such a bad attitudes and poor customer service skills.
