nuwave pro oven nuwave oven 880 Lakeside Drive Gurnee, Il 60031 US nuwaveoven.com This complaint is not about how this oven works. I haven't used it yet. I ordered this off of a TV advertising scheme. I felt others needed to know what this company is doing. I am so upset over this order. During the phone call, I talked to one of Nuwave's sales people who told me that I could get the oven in black much higher quality with all stainless and not flimsy like the white one for only 15.00 more. I asked over and over why doesn't the white one have stainless? He said, well it does have a little bit just not as much as the black one and the black is heavier much better quality. He told me the pan was also special for the unit and did not disclose that any pan can be used in the unit ( I found this out after I read the directions when I received the oven) nor did he disclose the extra shipping cost of 39.00 which I only learned about after I called Nuwave back complaining about the shipping. I bought it like a fool. He told me I would get free express shipping because Nuwave was running a special with the oven only 99.00 plus shipping but today only was free express shipping. He said that the only shipping would be for the mixers which was 24.95. He offered the two year warranty. I told him no I didnt want the warranty but he said if I took it today it would only cost me 5.00 more so I took it. Then,on top of that, during the call he kept trying to get me to order extra ovens which he said would only cost me 30 dollars for each oven if I ordered that day. I kept telling him I didn't need extra ovens. Then when he sent the email for order confirmation and rundown, it did not include the bill as he said it would. When I got my oven I got my bill receipt. He has charged me 24.99 for the warranty, 64.40 for the shipping nothing off for the oven at a charge of 184.92 for a total of 249.29 for the oven and pan extender ring kit. So, I attached the order receipt that I received with the oven and scanned to an email that I sent to Nuwave along with this complaint. When I called Nuwave, the lady that answered would not let me get a word in edgewise and was very rude saying over and over in broken english "the sell person read from a script nothing more! customer is wrong not sell person!No refund! no free ship!" Since I could not communicate with this person, I told her I was going to put a video of this oven on youtube. She said go ahead very flippantly. She obviously did not care at all. The Nuwave black oven is flimsy, it is not substantial stainless steel and Nuwave customer service is the worse service I have ever experienced. Resolution will only come with a full disclosure to the public,a refund of the overcharges they put on my credit card and an appology for this fiasco by their customer service. There is no 90 day free trial ( you pay for shipping which both ways ends up costing 128.80)and there is no discount on anything including shipping as per the Nuwave customer service rep. This is totally false advertising on the part of nuwave. I first learned of the Nuwave from a local TV station, they tested it and said it worked. I thought great, maybe I would buy one. I went to the website, in order to get the "shipping and handling" information you first had to enter your credit card to start the "checkout process". What it should have said is as soon as you enter your credit card, you bought the item. Anyway I proceeded to check how much the "free" items would cost with the added S&H, half way thru the "check out process" I decided to cancel the order. No where to do that, so I closed out of the web page with out completing the "check out process". Needless to say it was to late I had already ordered and paid for it. I disputed with the company, my credit card, and the BBB. The company said they would refund as soon as I returned the item (at my cost). The BBB contacted the company, they said I ordered it, I disputed because of the "begin check out process". The BBB closed the case because the company offered to rebate some of the shipping cost. I did notice that shortly after my complaint they changed the web page showing the shipping costs before you had to enter your card info. If you want the nuwave oven which in my opinion works well, buy it from Kohl's (someone said) or it is available thru Home Depot, in both places you will save at least $100.00 due the the shipping. If anyone is class action suing this company, get ahold of me, I would be interested in participating. If I get one, it will be Kohl's. I skipped the TV ad, knowing they are often making great profits off consumers. I went straight to the NuWave Web site and ordered directly. I was at the end of the ordering and was feeling a bit concerned about this process, but continued on thinking I could adjust my order at the end. WRONG, this is a deceitful website, and once you have put in your credit card info first thing YOU HAVE BOUGHT IT. No way out, no changing your order at the end. They immediately charge my credit card $135.00 (what happened to $35 + S/H???) and were NOT open to cancel this order. I will call on Monday at 7am CST and if they DO NOT cancel this order as I suspect after reading all the complaints, I will have to take further action. My total order was for $247.95 when all the "FREE" stuff was added on (I didn't even want or need). BEWARE, this website is a very dishonest way to do business. Everyone who has had difficulty, I urge you to contact your BBB and report this company. This is dishonorable business practice and is taking advantage of consumers! Cooks great, reheats great, & food tastes wonderful. (no zapping all of foods nutients in mico) I use mine almost daily and it saves by not having to heat up a large oven. I've purchased many more as gifts, also. I am going to buy more for my family. Sorry you had a bad experience if you end up returning your you should go to Kohls and buy one, that way if you have any problems you can take it back (Kohls has the worlds best return policy) I think the food turns out great. I can cook a steak from frozen in about 20 minutes and it is the best steak I have ever eaten.
