I purchased the above HP Pavillion laptop on July 26, 2006. 'Til very recently, my laptop began to malfunction and it doesn't turn on at all. Not even the cover opens. It's absolutely no use to me I'm afraid. So, I've been trying to come into contact with customer service representatives from eCOST for the past several weeks now. I've been requesting to have my laptop replaced because I purchased a 3 year warranty in conjunction with the laptop. However; I've yet to obtain any satisfactory results. I keep being transferred from representative to representative and from supervisor to supervisor, but to no apparent avail. They keep telling me to fax over my proof of purchase and everytime I do just that, only to have them claim that no fax has been sent or received. Furthermore, the representatives with whom I've conversed thus far repeatedly keep saying how my contract is missing and that no information under my name can be found in the registry. If this were truly legit, I wouldn't be able to access any of my past or recent transactions via their website. I'm only going around in circles and getting absolutely nowhere. They refuse to do anything to assist the situation at hand and the problem has only become worse. I've become extremely aggravated with their nonsense. I paid more than one grand for both the laptop and the warranty. I'm guaranteed a replacement laptop yet eCOST refuses to supply me with one. If the problem isn't resolved immediately, I most certainly will get a lawyer on my case and take those in charge to court to press charges. I won't leave this issue unresolved.
