Liberty Mutual

When our house was broken into and a lot of our possession stolen. Liberty Mutual actually had my wife and I go through a deposition - all but accusing us of stealing our own property. They even asked if our parents had taken the property to their houses. It seems to me that they will go to great lengths to avoid paying claims. That appears to be the job of their "claim investigator" and their attorney.

Needless to say. We dropped them as insurers. If you have ever had your house broken into you will know that just as bad as the loss of personal possessions is the feeling of being quite violated. We work hard to get what we have and pay a lot of money to insurances so that when things go wrong they can help us deal with the situation. Instead we felt like we were treated as second class citizens. We felt violated again.

I agree with others who have posted complaints that Liberty Mutual is a sneaky underhanded company.

Remember, in most states you are entitled to hire your own public insurance adjuster to assist you in negotiations with your insurance company. It is not uncommon that a public adjuster will succeed negotiating outright denied claims or get you a higher settlement figure for your loss.
