not doing there job

staff Kirkwood Mannor 2590 loop 337 north new braunfels, te 78130 US August 27, 2008 at 3pm I entered the nursing home to visit my grandfather. While entering his room I notice my shoes wanting to stick to the floor and as I looked down all I could see were trash and food pieces on the entire floor. Angered, knowing from my grnadmother this was NOT the first time this has happened, I walked the room over and took pictures of everything. I did not say a word to anyone while I left for the day. August 28th at 2pm I walked into the nursing home to visit my grandfather and notice my shoes still sticking to the floor and looked down to see the same trash and food were on the floor. To my suprise there was more food on the floor and even a dirty diaper halfway under his bed. I went to the front desk to ask them to send someone to the room to clean it. finally after an hour someone came. I was angered that it took me walking into there buisness to ask them to do a job that is apparently required of them. The staff tried to tell me that it must be crumbs that fell on his lap at lunch that had fallen off his lap when he stood up in his room. The staff were at a loss for words when i made it clear i took pictures of this the day before and nothing had been done. I do not like people lieing to me, then tring to make excuses for there lies when they are confronted with the proof. please have something dont about this place, at leaste a investigation on there servises and other patients. Also in there brochure they state that they provide all there patients with electronic beds(to move them up and down), and come to find my grandfather only has a bed he has to crank up and down. He is not physically able to do this, which causes a problem for comfert.
