defective cord systems

Blindsgalore suede top down bottoms up hobbled blinds blindsgalore US blindsgalore.com First of all we are greatly disappointed with the services they have provided. We ordered 4 suede, buckskin hobbled top down/bottoms up, but we received the chocolate color instead, we sent it back and they sent us the replacement. One of the replacements has a defective cord system where it would not lock and the cord will get all tangled up, we called it in and when they send the replacement, it did not have the top down feature and so we are still waiting for that replacement up to now. If you think that is the only problem wait till you read this, a little over 2 wks after receiving the replacement (while waiting for the first blind with the cord defect) we encountered a similar, but yet more annoying problem, the other two blinds did have the same cord system defect. We cannot lock it up and when we are able to successfully do so, it is lopsided and one side will dangle down with a fan-like effect, that is with the bottoms up part on the other hand, the top down cord will not work or get stuck and the cords will clump up all the way to the top where they looked all coiled up. We rarely use the top down system and we often just leave it bottoms down, so imagine our frustration when this happened, then again we called it in and they sent the 2 replacement, but alas! Another mishap, one of the 2 replacements they sent is more defective than the original one we had, the top down cord would not even work, the bottoms up will get stuck half way when we are trying to bring it down for the first time, so we are stuck with a bunch of defective blinds and still awaiting for those replacements. We ordered it May 2008 and it is almost end of Aug 2008 and we are still waiting for the replacements. I do hope they will look into their supplier regarding their quality control. These blinds cost us more than $1,500 so we expect the product to be the best or in excellent condition, we are not expecting the dismay with the product, appall with the services they have provided, and frustration with the wait and constant effort of setting it up and bringing it down from a 11 ft height window, and just imagine if we got professional services to put the blinds up for us, it will cost us more than the blinds itself. These have cost us not only money but wasted time and energy.
