US Airways Scam
|
US All of you US Airways Passengers please heed my warning...never and I mean never accept a "voucher" for accomodating US Airways when they have overbooked a flight or have other circumstances where they offer you a "free" round trip voucher. IT IS A SCAM When you call the reservation number as you are required to do when trying to use a voucher, before they know you have a voucher the airfare is one price, when they find out you want to redeem your voucher, the air fare rate changes. Initially I was quoted $293, when I told the agent I had a voucher worth $200, the rate was then $410.00 All they do is increase the rate to off set the value of the voucher. I have called numerous times with a week or two of free time only to find that they are junk as soon as you say VOUCHER. The lady I spoke to on the phone said it happens like this all the time and they have lots of complaints. Problem is I accepted 5 of these and cant use even one.!!!! The vouchers are a great thing if used right and if one takes the time to understand the terms and conditions of the vouchers. They arent a scam at all.
