FORD DIESEL TRUCKS
|
Mc Refridgeration and Air Conditioning US I purchased a Ford Diesel truck from Scarsdale Ford in Scarsdale, NY,on Central Ave, for my business. Ever since I drove off of the lot I have had nothing but problems. The engine has produced blue smoke on many occasions. Which causes a toxic odor and has caused myself to become physically sick at times. Another problem that I have had was the engine shutting off while I am driving. This is a dangerous situation because it has happened while on the highways, putting my life in danger. I have tried several times to contact Scarsdale Ford, and when I speak to a representitive, their response is that they are not in the business of taking back vehicles. I have tried numerous times to get these problems fixed to finally put myself at ease, but instead I have gotten a greater headache. I contacted Ford many times and have gotten nothing but "take it in to get fixed (but continue to make payments) and they will see what they can do." Each time I take it in it is never fixed. One would think once I have taken it to get fixed (for more times than I can count) they would want to make me happy and change the LEMON of a truck they sold me. But I guess Ford is too dumb to realize that. But let it have been one of there family members of the CEO they would have a new top of the line model. Ford needs to live by there motto Customer satisfaction, because I am not a happy customer. I think every person that has a complaint on this website and other websites should come together and team up against Ford. We need to put an end to this problem. I have contacted my local news to investigate Ford and their Lemon vehicle. Before you purchase a Ford Diesel do your research I guarantee you will think twice about doing so. I did not get this problem completely addressed. I had the fuel pump replaced and that took care of the loss of power. I also had the oil pressure switch replaced for the problem with the engine shutting off. The engine will shut off then start up immediately and then sometimes shut off again. There is still an ongoing problem with my truck and I am still working on getting this resolved with Scarsdale Ford. Everytime it breaks down we have to have it towed to the dealership and it is out of commission for at least a week requiring me to get a rental that they will not cover. I had to have it towed again because it will not remain running for more than a minute. I was just wondering if you had any luck in getting this problem addressed. Thanks.
