IMonitoring of My Phones & Internet (Illegal)
|
Bellsouth/Cingular - Now AT&T US Bellsouth had not only forced me to purchase Cingular Cell phone from them to be able get in on the "All in One Plan" and would not let me purchase one from a store (Possible sales scheme?). Further they spit me out of the plan approximately 9 times in the first year. One time I was told that someone from Bellsouth and manually taken me out of the plan. Each time they spit me out of the plan, the discount was not applied, I received separate bills and each time I had to place a call to try and get back on the "All in One Plan" - one bill for Bellsouth, Cingular and Internet charges. From repeated calls to both Bellsouth and Cingular in attempt to clear this up, I was informed by a Bellsouth customer service representative that a Bellsouth executive (unknown) had placed a Code 128 on my account and had joined forces with Cingular to put this code on my cell phone, and that this representative has only seen this happen to a consumer, only one other time, in the total 10 years of employment. Yes I had recorded these dates and person's names. Through some investigation, Code 128 allows information to be given to a third party. Most probably Bellsouth was doing this for big bucks either through a third party or directly for a prior employer (who is on the NYSE). This same code 128 had shown up on my computer numerous times. 2 customer service representatives of the Bellsouth/Cingular had told me of this Code 128 and that it was put on my account by a high executive of Bellsouth. I knew that they were monitoring me, as every time I applied for employment somewhere (just by calling, or on the internet), someone was placing calls to these potential employers before, during or after an impressive interview to not hire me. Bellsouth even had used tactics to bug my phone at a prior employer and was trying to do the same at the most recent employer. They initially told my employer that they wanted to offer them a free phone line and a free mobile phone. When at lunch, they were hooking devices to my work phone. No one will talk, as they don't wish to get involved. Numerous times the Bellsouth truck would come to our home, uninvited and would be checking our phone box on the outside of our house and at times would be parked diagonally across the street from my home, and just watching our house. I wrote numerous letters, including our Governor and Consumer Affairs. It was referred to the Public Service Commission, who asked Cingular to call me - a secretary who was very coy called me and said, Why we would never do anything like that...as it would be illegal. The current Public Service Commissioner (Georgia) told me that after talking to Bellsouth, they do not need to call or contact me. It is believed that AT&T is now continuing the monitoring and defaming my character to potential employers. During the last 3-5 years this has been going on and furthermore, several acquaintances, has heard taping sounds on my phone. I have been feeling like a prisoner in my own home, a convict who is innocent, discouraged in job seeking, and yet it is all because I know of information that could seriously hurt a former employer. No attorney will return my call or help me, they all say that it would be a conflict of interest, as they may represent some small faction of the AT&T empire. I need help to get this resolved. as I need to gain employment and get on with my life and I should be entitled to some privacy, without them monitoring me all the time. Please contact some executive at AT&T for me, as I want answers and I want my life back. P.S. Who is Bill Gellerman of AT&T? P.P.S. I am not trying to cause trouble for anyone, I just want this resolved, so that I can get on with my life.
