On stated date I subscribed to Stamps.com after receiving the impression from their internet ads that they were of the USPS agency. Unfortunately it took me six months before I observed the $15.99 being confiscated from my checking account. I was referred by the local postal authorities to contact their Louisville, KY office. There I spoke to a lady who informed me that "Stamps.com" was a scam and that I should purchase my postal services from the local USPS office. I complained to my local bank concerning the extractions from my checking account.

The lady there gave me the "Stamps.com" 1-888 number. There I talked to "Max" who eventually handed me over to the accounting department where the lady, after some discussion, took my mailing address and said I should receive a full refund in 4 to six weeks.

This should amount to about $74.46 since I still had some unused purchased postage on my account. As indicated below, there has been a deposit to my checking account which is reflected in the amount due of $74.46. I notified the California BBB and the Commonwealth of Kentucky Attorney-General's Office. The case is still active with the Kentucky A-G's Office. The only response I have received thus far is a $15.99 deposit has been posted back to my account which occured during the BBB's involvement.

The only allusion I have found to the $15.99 monthly charge was in the company's FAQ's. Since it seemed everything was up front and above board on their Welcome Letter, etc., I saw no reason at that time to puruse the FAQ's.

As many, mny others have averred: NO MORE STAMPS.COM FOR ME!!!!!!
