Everstar Merchandise rip off

At the beginning of December 2007, I purchased FOUR boxes of LED lights made by Everstar Merchandise from Sam's Club. I not only intended using them for the holidays but also year round.

Within 2 weeks half of a strand of bulbs burned out. A week later half of another strand burned out. I read the instruction about bulb replacement and tried to find the "one" bulb that was suppose to be the problem. What I found was the wires to the burned out bulbs were totally rusted and all of the bulbs were NO GOOD.

I threw out the 2 strands and put 2 new ones out. Once again, it has only been a week and one bulb has already needed to be replaced.

I was told by customer service that they are only for seasonal use. I had the box in front of me and asked where on the box does it say seasonal use. She then told me that it WASN'T written on the box. It is included in the inside instructions where it is very easy to miss unless you make sure that you read EVERY little word.

I spent quite a bit of money on these lights and they are suppose to last 25,000 hours. They have not even come close to living up to the 25,000 hours they are suppose to last.

As far as this company is concerned, I think they are ripping people off. I am told I can send the strands back and they will replace them, but I still have to pay for the postage and if I have to sent EVERY single strand back, then the lights weren't worth purchasing to start with.

Whatever Christmas Lights you buy at Sam's Club you can return for a full refund (within 2 years of the purchase date w/ receipt) if you are not satisfied.

Next time do NOT throw them away keep the original packaging & receipt and take it back to your Sam's Club. They keep a record of everything you bought up to two years from the purchase date.

I bought over 25 boxes of LED lights (Blue LED, white LED, C7 LED multi, LED Snowflakes, & LED Blue/white twinkling icicle stars).

I took back 4 LED light strands (the very first one's they offered at Sam's Club) a YEAR & A HALF after I bought them with no box or receipt!!! It was time-consuming getting a refund due to not having a receipt, but well worth purchasing at Sam's Club. They gave me a Gift Card worth over $40. It would of been cash if had the receipt.

They'll take back tons of items like that (flash lights, kitchen supplies, etc) up to 2 yrs from the purchase date. But not computers, not sure about TVs.
