Consumer's Bad Experience with Walgreens

Consumer's Bad Experience with Walgreens I visited Walgreens store located in Tarrytown, New York on 4/28/08 at 1:30pm. I had just filled up my car with gas to go to the store to purchase items out of the weekly ad flyer. When I arrived at the store, I filled up my cart with items that I needed, but I was there specifically to purchase (3) items as listed in the weekly sales circular: The Conair steamer for $29.99, the Fade-Away skin cream for my daughter at $3.99 and the Visine anti-itch eyes drops for $3.49. I could not find ANY of these products and asked two separate sales clerks, one Hispanic female (who could hardly speak or understand English)and one male white, neither could help me nor knew where the products where and told me to come back at another time to check. What?! I then asked to speak to a manager, they stated that he wasn't around. I left VERY frustrated and hence here is my complaint. I wasted my gas money and time visiting the store today when I just paid $3.78 a gallon for gas to visit the store and left frustrated and empty handed. In this day and age when gas prices are so HIGH they should have the products on hand in the store. I left the rest of the other items in my cart and left the store. In this present time when consumers have to pay ALOT in gas, the last thing we want is to waste our trip to a store that doesn't carry it's products as listed. What a waste of my time and money, no wonder America is going down the drain financially!
