rock saws sunbelt rentals 8300 S - IH 35, Austin, TX 78745 6111 Highway 290 E., Austin, TX 78723 austin, t 78745 US http://www.sunbeltrentals.com/ While undertaking a large construction project on some out of town property, we needed to rent a rock saw for utility lines. All equipment rental places we talked to/rented from sent along extra teeth for the saw as normal wear and tear means the teeth fall out or break off. EXCEPT sunbelt who charged us over 150.00 for 13 teeth (which did not break off but simply fell out - we tried to give them to the driver who came to pick up the saw and he gave them back to us and said they didn't need them) As the other companies had provided their own bucket of new and used teeth for us - we thought nothing of throwing them away when the driver handed them back - only to be charged later for not having them. This company was the worst. Unfortunately they were the only ones in town with this certain width of rock saw and so we HAD to use them - otherwise I'd tell EVERYONE to definately stay away from this company. Did you expect them to magically be free? Someone has to pay for those bits and they can't be re-used as the retainers won't hold them in place. Any rental company giving away "FREE" rockbits MUST have a higher rental rate to cover THEM. You also pay for diesel fuel used up or damages, someone has to pay, either in the rental rate or for actual usage. The company you mention is my competitor but everyone does it the same way. By the way not one company considers digging teeth used up "Normal wear & tear" From: Message Author (click here to email author) (has asked not to receive email)Date: Wednesday, 17-Mar-10 11:17:40 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
