This company will send you a letter stating that for attending a 45 minute meeting the will give you two airline tickets anywhere in the continental US. I mailed my form in mid January with the $29.99 processing charge no one tells you about. Direct Source cashed the check days later. In Mid April (3 months later they told me it would probably be 3 more months before I got any kind of airline tickets. Oh yea, during the meeting they try to talk you into joining thier club for discounted prices on anything but the enrty fee is $4000.00 Be Ware of what kind os service you will get after the fact. The customer service department will just yell at you and tell you to wait. NO HELP!

I also fell into this scam back in April. We have almost been with them for year and had no help at all. Heather in the office will yell at you if you tell her Customer Service is not doing their job. We joined to get the big discount on a car. Big joke is what that was. After paying for reports on the cars they were trying to sell I found that the cars had been in accidents and were badly damaged. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General about 3 months ago, but heard nothing. If you can find out something to do please return message this email.

Yes, I went for the air line tickets so I could see my son and joined for $2000, however after 16 weeks, I

received a brochure about tickets, wanting more money ($100.00). I had already sent in $29.99. I found the brochure promising air tickets worthless because of all of the "exceptions, rules,etc." I want my money back and want to see a lawyer. Yest I am willing to file a complaint.

i, too, fell for this scam. i have tried to purchase several items through the company. it's no longer a surprise to me that they answer "oh, i'm sorry but we don't deal with that company's products. we have a comparable product we think you'd like" the comparable product is ususlly 2 or 3 times the cost of the item i wanted, even after the "markdown". i have been unable to use my free tickets. first it was a $29.95 processing fee, then a $100.00 taxes fee. and they want 3 months notice before you can use the tickets and you are not promised the dates you want to use them. if you call direct source they are rude and tell you that you have to call u.s. wings about ticket problems. u.s. wings now has no phone number. you have to e-mail and wait for an answer. my answer was "read the booklet and follow the directions".

The same thing happen to me but I didn't join but sent in the voucher for the airline tickets. the first time I called for my free tickets thye said it would be 12 to 16 weeks before I would rcecive the tickets. The presenters said it would be four to six weeks. I called numerous times and kept getting the same message 12 to 16 weeks. After the 16 weeks were up they told me they sent the tickets on July 11th but if I hadn't received them they were lost in the mail and there was nothing they could do. I asked them to send me some proof like a copy of the tickets. Again they refused. I HAVE SENT ALL MY FRIENDS A WARNING ABOUT THIS SCAM. yes for me if there is a class action against them and I also copied the FBI in Ocala Florida

My elderly mother and I attended a presentation in March 08. We were promised two free airline tickets. We joined the direct source buying club paying $4000. I have sent the money order for the tickets and waited and waited. The reservation center sent us a letter in July requesting $100. and a registered letter and photo i.d.'s. The letter states more money will be required for fees and taxes. I don't think we will send them any more money. I would be interested if there is a class action suit filed.

I have experienced the same thing and the sad part is I joined and can never use the service but they are taking their money i am willing to join you all in filing a combined law suit let me know when and we can meet up. They are rude after the fact and I never got my 2 airline tickets either.

My original comment was dated 21 May 2008. Since that time I have received a letter dated June 23rd, 2008 from "The Reservation Center" in Spring, TX. It says thanks for coming to our presentation and enclosed is a package for two Complimentary Round-Trip Airline Tickes for two. I have no idea if this is from Direct Source.

Enclosed with that is an "Activation Form". It states that I must complete it, include a $100.00 Money Order to pay for estimated taxes and fees and return it within 21 days via certified mail along with a copy of Photo Id's.

I don't think I will be returning it, my 23 days is up in 4 days and I just don't want to put out more money for something that I am not sure about. Hope this information helps anyone else in this position, it just doesn't give me a warm and cozy feeling about the whole matter.

I have the same story. I am planning to file a small claims action against them in The Woodlands. If several of us do it at the same time, that will certainly get their attention!

I had the same experience. Sent the form in on Feb 14th with a money order for 29.99 as instructed, over three months ago and have not received the tickets or any type of response. They indicated that delivery of the tickets would be 10-12 weeks.
