Lowes / pressure washer

On 12/20/07 I purchased a discounted pressure washer for approx $300.00. As this was a good deal, I proceeded to purchase the item at the discounted price and related materials at full cost. As of 04/20/08 the item failed to start and I tried to return the item to the lowes store which is closest to me.

The Sales Manager at the Sarasota FL Lowes, advised me that there is nothing that they can do, and that I would have to return to the original Lowes from where the item was purchased (approx 1 hr away). I reminded "Jim" the Sales Manager of the distance, and he again advised that he can not provide me w/ a replacement as I had indicated that I purchased the item at a discounted rate. I responded by indicating that had I not shown them the receipt they would never have known that it was discounted, and would have replaced it...."Jim" agreed w/ this, but still did not offer to exchange or repair the item, even though both the receipt and the item both state that there is a 2 year replacement policy. I "kindly" informed "jim" that I will never shop at Lowes in the future, and "Jim" seemed to be fine w/ this.
