I was employed by this boiler room operation for a week in hopes of making the advertised salary of $700-$1200/wk to fund a trip to FL, upon my return to pick up my check it was for a measly $45. For 54 hours of work that is not right, not fair, and it can't be legal. Furthermore the extended warranties are no doubt shams that will never pay out despite customers dishing out over three grand per. In addition, they contact phone subscribers at random through a predictive dialer and do not care whatsoever whether they are on a do not call registry or not, and when instructed to be placed on a do not call list, 99% of the telemarketers simply hang up and do not even attempt to have the number removed. The company's website employs an application at the bottom that when a number is entered into it the number is to be removed from the call list, however during the span of a week and a half i was told about a half million times that the harrassee had been asked to be placed on the do not call list six times and the calls persisted. they dont pay their employees and they're getting rich ripping off suckers over the phone and they have to be stopped dont be fooooooled

I currently work at GWS. I've worked here for about a month. I absolutely love it so I don't know what you 2 are talking about. Maybe it was different when you were here but GWS is honestly the best job I've ever had. We don't even use the auto dialer anymore. We actually just did a test run of the new dialer, that seemed to go pretty well. We did have a few people who said they were on the DNC list but when we entered their numbers none of them were in it already. We are not allowed to hang up on people anymore so that has also changed apparently. All employees are paid quite fairly actually. Minimum wage plus commission and incentives. GWS is not some type of "sham". Our warranties cover everything they say they cover...and the employees are paid fairly

You aren't the only employee to get screwed there, I was just terminated again, twice now, in a course of 3 months. The only reason I was rehired I think is because they didn't want to pay out to unemployment. I called about three weeks after I was fired to find out if I would be able to collect unemployment benefits, or if they were going to screw me again. Guess what... They screwed me again, they told me to come back to work for them if I could travel to new location. You know why? because I would have been paid more on unemployment than my regular weekly pay. Yeah make $500-1000 a week, yeah right, I was there three months and not once did I ever hit my weekly bonus! The place is a scam!! Rumor has it from friends that are still stuck there trying to find another job is that they are downsizing again. last time they downsized, they went from 70-80 employees to 35, and they want to downsize again? are you serious, it was 30 fronters "represenative" 12 closers "finance managers" chances are the company will be totally out of business within 6 months. We had been told in September radio and tv ads with chubby checker would be going nationwide any day now....I think it's january now right? I still haven't seen or heard any GWS ads.

Listen people, record your phone calls, feed them bullshit, and just keep track of how wany times they call. then sue the hell out of em. Oh, and as for having your number removed, good luck, 99% of the calls I took were people asking to be taken off the call list, and guess what? I submitted damn near everyone, but it doesn't seem to work because I answered the phone proably a few thousand times a day, and would constantly input numbers and the computer would spit back, "Sorrym number already in DNC database" so the numbers get submitted, but the call system located out in california somewhere doesn't care and just rolls through 2,3 maybe 5 million numbers... I bitched to management about it and guess what? "So what, just keep trying to get the year make and model and get them over to a closer" great management huh? Anyway I was told recently that they are going to deny me unemployment benefits... So I spoke to unemployment about it and they said they'll overrule GWS.. so screw GWS, don't get too angry with the people that you talk to when first connected.. believe me they hate they're job and deal with enough pissed off people, so just calmly tell them your filing charges and that your recording the call. Oh and by the way if you want to lash out at somebody high up on the food chainm (603)685-0200 ext1278, Rick Peters

Had fun venting cause I couldn't make enough money they're to afford a thereapist, thanks for reading and hope the info helps

To all the people out there who are receiving these phone calls day and night from General Warranty Services about auto Warranty. I'm having them traced by the phone company. I've made them so mad asking them to not call me and then they continue to and finally I'd had enough I got really nasty, so my guess is they have me on automatic redial and when I push 1 (one) they hang up on me.. Well no more. I've contacted several attorneys and trust me we can get them if everyone has these calls traced. And yes, it can be done. These people that are calling me are General Warranty Services about a dang car I do not have! and all they will say is I need your Vin Number, well NO, you do not need anything from me.. This is a discrace.
