Sears/Craftsman Tool Alert

Purchasing Craftsman lawn tools and hand tools Alert. This happened to me. I seen an ad for a certain Lawnmower,went to buy it, but none was available, nor would be.

I had previously purchased a Industrial circular 5 1/5" power saw and when I , purchased blades for it I discover it would not fit the saw arbor hole. Took the blades back and ask for my money back, but was offered a Sears Gift Card which could only be used at Sears.

Earlier, I had purchased a Craftsman lawn edger, and spare blades. Came time to replace the blade, neither of the spare blades would fit. Carried both blades back and wanted a refund. Was given a Sears Gift Card. Use part of that to purchase 5 1/2" circular saw blades. The arbor hole of the blade would not fit the Saw.

Carried that back the next day, asked for a refund, but was offered a Sears Gift Card for Sears purchases Only. Refused to take the Sears Gift Card because I try to avoid Sears like the plauge, and I wanted no more of having to return Items TO SEARS I COULD NOT VERIFY as being the correct item. SEEMS THE OWNERS MANUAL NEGLECTED TO STATE SIZE OF THE ARBOR BOLT TO FASTEN THE BLADE.

IF YOU DARE SHOPPE AT SEARS BE WARNED OF THE CONCEQUENCES OF PURCHASE.

Still complaining everyone, but still have not been offered a full refund for a Sears goof. To the best of my knowledge Sears only made one model of a 5 1/2" Electric circular saw.

BEWARE WHEN REPLACING PARTS OF SEARS PRODUCTS. BRING THE PART TO BE REPLACED AND OPEN THE PACKAGE IN THE STORE BEFORE YOU PAY FOR IT...YOU MIGHT BE RUN OUT OF THE STATE, BUT AT LEAST YOU TRIED. FROM MY EXPERIENCE MY ADVICE IS TO STAY AWAY FROM SEARS UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACCEPT GIFT CARDS FOR RETURNS.
