Charter Cable Service

I have had Charter for my cable/internet/phone provider for a little over 2 yrs now, and for the past year, ny HD DVR bix has not worked properly. I will set shows to record, I will come home and they will not be recorded. Tonight was the last straw. I came home from work and 2 of my shows were not taped. I always make sure that everything is set to record, and they were. I always make sure that I do not have too many shows recorded or setup to be recorded. I did not worry about the shows I taped today, but tonight, I sat here and watched as I had 3 shows setup to record, not all at the same time, and I got 1 minute of a 1 hour show, I got 11 minutes of another 1 hour show, and 1 hour and 45 minutes of a 3 hour show. UNACCEPTABLE! I called and they said that the best thing I could do was to take my box into a local office. I do not think I should have to waste my lunch hour to do this, when it is not my fault, and they are getting paid enough that they should take care of the problem the first time, not the 8th time. Yes, that is right, this is the 8th time that this has happened in a year! Same thing, over and over again, but no one with their company seems to be able to figure it out or even cares to for that matter! I am so fed up with this! There has to be other people that are experiencing this same problem. If there is anyone out there, that is having these same issues, please respond to this or post to this. I hate that I am paying so much for my services that they cannot provide accurate and helpful customer service. I do not know what else to do. I like my phone and internet service, and hate to give that up to go to satelite, and I know if I keep the phone and internet, and drop the cable, I will end up paying more a month than what I am now. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them.
