BEST BUY'S HP/COMPAC "GEEK SERVICE" + RECEIPT TRICKERY

Best Buy is who I am having a problem with. Their receipt says you have =

30 days to return a product to exchange for another. Then a little =

farther done in the "fine" print of the whole receipt it only gives you =

14 days in which to do this.

When I purchased a new computer that was an affordable . An HP/COMPAC. =

They didn't acknowledge my ISP.com service which was already paid for =

and adding insult to injury installed AOL, YAHOO, NORTON, SYMANTRIC, =

MICROSOFT MAIL, a.k.a.OUTLOOK EXPRESS. Services I got rid of on my 1st =

systems. I only have the sound that they installed and can't customize =

the sounds I need/like.

Unless I make an appt. with the GEEK SQUAD at a senior reduced rate to =

the tune of $129.00 with NO guarantee that the GEEK will not decide to =

charge me more after servicing to REMOVE the items I don't want. I =

bought their years service agreement at $49.00, but "I" must bring it in =

to the store I purchased it from with no guarantee that there won't be a =

charge.

Their receipt info. re:returns contradicts each other and they get away =

with this trickery/stratagem.

Once you use their credit card there is no way to get any service =

without paying for what should come with the HP product.

HAVE A VERY "GOOD DAY!

If you do not know it, the stores have absolutely NO say in what comes on the PC's, whether you buy it at Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart or anywhere else. It does not matter that you already had an ISP. And yes, if you want the service department to perform any service to remove the stuff you do not want, they WILL charge you! This service is provided at a charge for convenience, if you go to wal-mart, they have no one that can remove it.

It is on the receipt... it is not hidden, get over it.
